How To Hire a Professional Voiceover Artist Online
Hiring a professional voice actor doesn't need to be complicated. From sending your script and getting a quote to recording, direction and final delivery, here's exactly what to expect when you work with me.
Hiring A Voiceover Artist: How It Works
01 SEND YOUR SCRIPT & PROJECT DETAILS
Tell me using this contact form or email, what you're creating, who it's for, how the voiceover will be used, your deadline and the style of delivery you're looking for.
02 RECEIVE YOUR QUOTE & CUSTOM DEMO
I'll review the project requirements, provide a clear quote and, where appropriate, record a short section of your script so you can hear my approach.
03 CONFIRM THE PROJECT & DIRECTION
Once you're ready to proceed, send the final approved script along with any pronunciation notes, references or creative direction.
04 RECORDING & LIVE DIRECTION
I'll record from my broadcast-quality studio. You can leave the performance to me or join the session via Source-Connect, Zoom or Google Meet and direct the read in real time.
05 RECEIVE PRODUCTION-READY AUDIO
Your finished audio is delivered clean, professionally edited and ready for production in the format you require. If pickups are needed, we'll handle them according to the agreed revision terms.
What I Need To Quote Your Project
A Few Details Are All I Need
Voiceover rates depend on more than script length. How and where the recording will be used can affect the cost, particularly for advertising and other licensed content.
To provide an accurate quote, send me as much of the following information as you have:
✓
SCRIPT OR WORD COUNT
The first step is send the final script if it's available, or an approximate word count if the project is still in development.
✓
PROJECT TYPE
Let me know what you're creating, eg commercial, corporate film, explainer, IVR, documentary, eLearning course, or video game.
✓
USAGE
Tell me how the voiceover will be used, for example internal communications, organic online content, paid advertising or broadcast.
✓
TERRITORY
For licensed content, let me know where the finished production will be seen or heard, whether that's local, national or international.
✓
LICENSING PERIOD
For advertising and other licensed usage, how long you plan to use the recording, such as three months, six months or one year.
DEADLINE
Tell me when you need the finished audio so I can confirm availability and turnaround before we begin.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Share the tone, pace and style you're looking for, along with any reference videos, pronunciation guides or other creative notes.
LIVE DIRECTION
Let me know if you'd like to direct the recording in real time via Source-Connect, Zoom or Google Meet.
Don’t Have All The Details Yet?
That's fine. Send me what you have and I'll let you know what else I need to provide an accurate quote.
